Meagan started with IVEC when we first opened in April 2012 and has recently returned to us after a break to have her first baby. Meagan has been nursing for approximately 18 years, majority of that time with small animals however she does have experience working with large animals and was privileged to work at The Australian Wildlife Hospital handling and treating exotics. Meagan is experienced in all aspects of nursing as well as management and often helps us here with our marketing and administration tasks. Skilled in all areas she does have a keen interest in pathology and radiology.
Outside of work, Meagan enjoys spending time with her baby, her fiancé and their four legged friends - a Samoyed named Troy, a Border Collie named Tess and a British Shorthair called Opie. Meagan and her fiancé plan to marry in Ireland next year and in preparation has taken up Irish dancing in her spare time.
Meghann joined IVEC in March 2016. Her veterinary nursing career spans more than 18 years, and she has spent almost all of that time working at various specialist hospitals across Sydney. She has specialized in multiple fields including Surgery, Anaesthesia, and Ophthalmology but her one true passion is bare bones Emergency and Critical Care nursing. Meg and her family have 2 motley mutts (Maggie Mae and Loki), 2 magnificent moggies (Slinky and Mooch), 2 fantabulous fish (Stanley and Leviathon), and 1 brilliant bird… called Bird. Megs non-animal interests include motorbikes, roller derby and live music.
Stephanie joined our IVH nursing team in June 2013. She has completed her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing and has a passion for specialized surgical nursing. In 2015 Steph left us to give birth to a son named Elliott and has since returned to IVEC as one of our wonderful emergency nurses. Outside of work, Steph enjoys riding motor bikes, watching movies and playing with her border collie 'Pebbles'.
Alison graduated her certificate IV Veterinary nursing in 2011, and has been nursing at the RSPCA hospital since 2008, wanting more she joined the Ingleburn emergency team in 2015. Her passion for the profession introduced her to the NSW and Executive committees of the VNCA where she is kept busy editing the journal and plans continual education for other nurses. Alison has a love for learning and has recently become an Accredited Veterinary Nurse. She is currently studying the Emergency and Critical Care diploma. In her rare spare time she loves dressing up as superheros with her son, baking, camping, reading Harry Potter again and travelling. She shares a home with her husband, son, and is currently owned by 2 mischievous dogs and 2 fascinating cats.
